Cristiano Ronaldo Unveils one of his Four new Hotels in his Hometown
Cristiano
Ronaldo is yet another example of the saying; nothing succeeds like success.
The Real Madrid superstar is cashing in big time on his status as one of the
best footballers on the planet, if not the best.
Ronaldo, 31, who
recently captained Portugal to their first ever major triumph at Euro
2016, has expanded his burgeoning business portfolio by opening a new
hotel in partnership with the Pestana Group.
The Real Madrid
forward, alongside Dionisio Pestana, helped to open one of four new boutique
hotels in his native Funchal, Madeira on Friday, Daily
Mail writes.

The hotel, which
is already up and running, has 49 rooms – 25 of which are referred to as
‘CR7 type rooms’, while there are 23 ‘Superior CR7’ rooms and one suite for
those visiting to take advantage of.
During the
opening, Ronaldo said:
“The first Pestana CR7 had to be in Funchal – my city that also is considered the best island by the World Travel Awards.
‘It is a great pride for me – the opening of this my first hotel. It marks my entrance into a completely new area. This new project is going to be a huge success in the four corners of the world.”

The three-time
Ballon d’Or winner plans to unveil further Pestana CR7 Lifestyle Hotels in
Lisbon, Madrid and New York.
The total cost
of building the four hotels is estimated at 75million euros.
Ronaldo recently
added to his already glittering CV this summer by lifting the European
Championship title with Portugal after helping Madrid to an 11th European
crown, and it appears he is already planning for life after his career on the
pitch comes to an end.
