Karma? Wendy Williams Loses Major Sponsorship With Chevrolet Over Offensive Comments About Black Organisations

It appears Wendy Williams’ knack for criticizing almost anything and everyone has turned back to bite her in the behind.


A few days ago, the vocal and controversial TV host was dragged through the mud by her fans and African-Americans after she made some rather offensive comments about black organisations in America. 

During the ‘Hot Topics’ segment of her Wendy Williams Show, the 51-year-old media personality decided to talk about Jesse Williams’ passionate speech on racism at this year’s BET Awards.

Wendy stated to her audience that although she found the speech ‘poignant’, she was offended by some things he had to say about racism. “
 I would be really offended if there was a school that was known as a historically white college. We have historically black colleges. What if there was the National Organization for White People, only? There’s the NAACP,” she said.
This statement sparked a major outrage on social media, with people bashing Williams for denouncing and trivializing the existence of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP).
