Tragic! 2-Year-Old Boy Dragged by Alligator at Disney World Resort Has Been Found Dead
CNN confirms
that the 2-year-old boy that was dragged into a lagoon at the Disney World
Resort in Orlando Florida has been found dead. You can read about the story
here.
The body of the
child, now identified as Lane Graves, was recovered from the lagoon after hours
of searching by the police and the Orange County dive team. The young boy’s
body was said to have been intact when he was found with only a few puncture
wounds.
The Orange County Sheriff, who also confirmed the death, released
a statement yesterday at a news conference saying the boy had been found
at 1:45 p.m after five alligators had been seized and killed in
an attempt to find him.
The boy’s
parents, identified as Matt and Melissa Graves, told the police that they were
outdoors at the Grand Floridian resort on Tuesday night when around 9 p.m.
their son waded into the lagoon.
They had jumped into the lagoon when the
alligator grabbed the boy and even tried to pry the animal’s
mouth open but their son was unfortunately dragged underwater.
Officials said
Disney World has never experienced an incident like the one involving the boy.
What a sad incident.
