Drake Allegedly Shoots ‘One Dance’ Video in South Africa Without Wizkid; Nigerians React: ‘This Means War!’
Drake
is reportedly shooting the official music video for his hit single One
Dance featuring Wizkid and Kyla in South Africa but Wizkid is rumoured
to not have been included in the video.
Drake reportedly
flew to South Africa last Friday and reports reaching us say that his trip
to S.A was specifically to shoot the video of One Dance. Yesterday,
the 29-year-old made a stop at the Nelson Mandela Centre of Memory in
Johannesburg, where he delivered a motivational speech to at least 80
students invited by the centre and the Department of Planning, Monitoring and
Evaluation as part of Youth Month celebrations.
Popular American
site, Fader reports
that a number of photos of Drizzy on set were shared online by his South
African fans, who claim the video was shot in Soweto. The photos show the
Canadian rapper mingling with the South African locals.
See the photos.
Also proof that
Drake may be indeed shooting his One Dance video in SA is the
fact that Filipino singer Kyla, who also features on the track, flew into the
country last week and shared a tweet of herself flying the South African
Airways. In addition, Apple Music is said to have also flown into town for the
video and popular American film and music director, Anthony Mandler is also in
the country and is said to be the director of the video.
Nigerians are
currently reacting to his absence in the photos and information circulating
online and they are venting on social media. Recall that the Starboy
was trolled by Nigerians who felt his part was so minor on the track
especially being such a huge collaboration with an international star.
Well, see what
Nigerians are saying.
Wizkid is yet to comment on this development.
