Buhari Hosts Outgoing IGP Solomon Arase, Other Security Chiefs to Dinner at Aso Rock

TMZ adds that the arson attempt flopped, and now the police is hunting down the suspect.


President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday evening hosted the outgoing inspector-general of police, Mr Solomn Arase and other security chiefs to dinner at the presidential villa to break the day’s Ramadan fast.

Asides Arase, also present were the chief of army staff, Lt Gen Tukur Buratai; the national security adviser, Babagana Monguno; the chief of naval staff and the chief of air staff, as well as the director-general of the Department of State Services (DSS), Lawal Daura.

The ‘iftar’ at the Aso Villa also presented an opportunity for the president to appreciate the IGP, Mr Arase for his services to the nation as he prepares to bow out of the police force on Tuesday.
