Kenyan Pastor on the Run as Wildlife Authorities Investigate Him for Killing 2 ‘Bewitched’ Owls; Photos
A Kenyan
Pastor, Patrick Ngutu of Winners Chapel, is currently on the run after killing
two owls which allegedly belong to the Nairobi National Park.
Three days ago,
the pastor received massive criticism from Kenyans on Facebook after he shared
the photo of a dead owl, which he said was the second bird his church had
killed. The pastor claimed that the owls were bewitched.

According to Tuko.co.ke,
Ngutu’s church “is situated along Mombasa Road, less than a kilometre from the
Nairobi National Park”, and it was why many people agreed that the owls may
have wandered to the church compound since it was close to their habitat.
Ngutu vehemently
tried to defend killing of the birds, but the outrage grew within hours, and
upset people contacted the Kenya Wildlife Authorities to investigate the
killings. The authorities responded saying that they were in the process of
investigating the killings.
Following the
backlash, Ngutu deleted the post from his page and now has also fled from
Facebook.
If found guilty,
Ngutu may be going to jail, because according to the Kenya Wildlife Act of
2014,
Hunting and killing any mammals, birds, and sea shell animals attracts a
fine of Sh1 Million or a two-year imprisonment.
Now, we can’t
wait to see how this pans out!
