The Final Facebook Message Omar Mateen Posted Before Killing 49 People Will Haunt You for Days

Omar Mateen issued chilling warnings prior to carrying out the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history of just what the depraved soon-to-be murderer had in mind.

The radicalized gunman had a reported “chilling history” of violent statements, domestic abuse, vocal allegiances to ISIL, and a belief that “it was up to God to punish gays.” He was even questioned by the FBI twice — his close proximity to a Syrian suicide bomber raised flags.

Now, CBS has reported the terrifying final threats posted on Mateen’s Facebook page moments before the attack.

As a show of loyalty to the Islamic State, Mateen posted this message:
“I pledge my alliance to (ISIS leader) abu bakr al Baghdadi..may Allah accept me. The real muslims will never accept the filthy ways of the west” …“You kill innocent women and children by doing us airstrikes..now taste the Islamic state vengeance.”
Then Mateen made a final threat posted to his Facebook page moments before the attack:
“You kill innocent women and children by doing us airstrikes..now taste the Islamic state vengeance [sic]”“In the next few days you will see attacks from the Islamic State [ISIS] in the usa."
FOX reports that Senate Homeland Security Chairman Ron Johnson, R-Wisc. is privy to social media messages sent from Mateen’s FB account that have since been deleted, saying:
“It is my understanding that Omar Mateen used Facebook before and during the attack to search for and post terrorism-related content,” read Johnson’s letter. “According to information obtained by my staff, five Facebook accounts were apparently associated with Omar Mateen.”
According to CNN, Mateen pledged allegiance to ISIS on a 911 call 20 minutes into what would become the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history.

On the same call, he also referenced the tragic Boston marathon bombing, carried out by two jihadists.

Details from what happened inside the Pulse nightclub have been beyond harrowing. Dance music was overridden by gunshots, and some survivors hid under bodies to protect themselves, while others pretended to be dead.

Mateen shot “over and under” bathroom stalls, and reportedly laughed as he fired rounds at victims. People inside wept and held each other as the gunman approached, and begged him for their lives.
ISIS has claimed responsibility for the shooting. According to Time, an official Amaq news agency reported:
“The attack that targeted a nightclub for homosexuals in Orlando, Florida, and that left more than 100 dead and wounded was carried out by an Islamic State fighter.”
A candlelight vigil was held this past Monday at Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center in Orlando. As the crowd mourned an unfathomable loss, a flock of 49 birds reportedly flew above them.
