One Day to the Stage Event of the Year: ‘We Almost Forgot’ Premieres in Lagos & Abuja Tomorrow

Lagos and Abuja are set to host “We Almost Forgot” Qudus Onikeku’s latest brainchild, this world class production features on stage 6 dancers and 1 actress, all of varied backgrounds and identities (Nigeria, Gabon, Morocco, Algeria, Madagascar & France). 


The sold-out show’s world premiere in Berlin was greeted with thunderous applause and standing ovations. Now, whole cast and crew are presently in Lagos, getting ready for the much awaited Lagos premiere.

Qudus, a world renowned Nigerian dance maker and choreographer, has never premiered his international works in Nigeria, but through the active support of Goethe Institut, Bank of Industry, Institut Français and the German Embassy, “We Almost Forgot” will premiere not just in Lagos but also in Abuja.

The Lagos premiere shall be on the main stage at Freedom Park on Friday, June 24, as a headliner at the Lagos Live Arts festival, while the Abuja show will be hosted at the prestigious National Universities Commission, on Sunday, June 26.
