Bangladesh Army Confirms Six Terrorists Dead, 14 Hostages Freed After Another Night of ISIS Terror
The Bangladeshi
army on Saturday confirmed an end to the terrorist attack on a restaurant in
the country’s capital, Dhaka for which popular terror group, ISIS has claimed
responsibility.
Brig. Gen
Mujibur Rahman of the Bangladeshi army stated that troops rescued 14 hostages
while six terrorists were shot dead to end the siege that lasted many hours,
stretching from Friday night into the early hours of Saturday.
“The operation
is over,” said General Rahman, who was overseeing the troops in the rescue
effort at Holey Artisan Bakery, a cafe popular with expatriates.
CNN reports
that the gunmen had stormed the restaurant in a diplomatic zone Friday night,
and took an unknown number of hostages. A witness, Fayad Munaim told newsmen he
heard heavy gunfire after hours of quiet in the area and that the gun shots
lasted about 10 minutes then stopped.
A cafe worker
Sumon Reza said he escaped as six to eight gunmen entered. About 20
people, some of them foreigners, were in the restaurant.
A police officer
in charge of a nearby station was shot dead, Maruf Hasan of Dhaka Metropolitan
Police said. A second officer died from gunshot wounds, according to Detective
Police Deputy Commissioner Sheikh Nazmul Alam who added that up to 40 people
were wounded, some by gunshots and others by shrapnel from explosive devices.
United States
government officials have reportedly cast doubt on the claim by ISIS that it
carried out the attack but no further reasons have been stated.

Isis isn't only a treat for America or Europe , it's a treat for the entire world, they hate everyone that doesn't share the extremist ideas they have, it's time for everyone no matter religion, race or culture to get together and fight against Isis.
