What an amazing
man! The car appeared to have skidded on the wet road, hit a ditch and flipped
over, according to TMZ. The upside down car landed in front of Jamie’s house,
and burst into flames; in photos from the scene, it looked absolutely crushed.
Jamie told CHP (California Highway Patrol) officers when they appeared at the
scene that as soon as he heard the crash, he ran outside, and upon seeing
Brett still buckled in the front seat, knew he had to do something — the
flaming car could burst into flames.
Jamie unbuckled
him, and dragged him 30 feet away from the wrecked car! The driver
suffered serious injuries, including broken bones and severe burns, but Jamie
saved his life. The man was taken to the hospital as soon as police and
firefighters arrived on the scene to assist him.
After arriving
at the hospital and treated for his injuries, Brett was booked for a DUI. This
is apparently not Brett’s first serious accident; his truck flipped over in
2007 after hitting a drainage pipe.
