Celine Dion: Pale & Somber In First Pic After Husband Rene Angelil’s Death — See Photo

Poor Celine Dion! We’re getting our first look at the singer who just had two heartbreaking losses, with both her husband and brother dying of cancer in a matter of days, and she looks understandably devastated.

So sad! Brave Celion Dion was spotted getting on a plane to fly out of Las Vegas and back home to Montreal, Canada where her late husband Rene Angelil’s funeral will take place on Jan. 22. She lost her “one and only boyfriend” to a long battle with throat cancer on Jan. 14 at age 73.

As if that wasn’t a great enough loss for her, Celine’s 59-year-old brother Daniel Dion died from the same disease a mere two days later, on Jan. 16. We can’t imagine the amount of loss the talented songbird must be feeling right now.

Wearing minimal make up with her hair pulled back in a tight bun. Her long black sweater and trim black leggings show she’s still in mourning for her husband of 21 years. But the “Because You Loved Me” singer was still able to muster up hugs from several friends at the airport.  We’re sure she’s going to be getting plenty more as she returns home for Rene’s service.

Rene’s memorial will be in a place once filled with joyous memories for Celine, as it will be held at the Notre Dame Basilica in Montreal, the church where the couple had their lavish wedding in 1994. We’re sure she’ll need the love and support of her parents and her 12 surviving siblings as she says goodbye to Rene in his private service.

Her former manager and one true love knew his time was coming and handled much of the preparations in advance. “René was generous enough to prepare all of this since the last few months with Céline,” Celine’s stylist and longtime friend Annie Horth told PEOPLE. “He didn’t know when it would happen, but he really wanted everything to be already prepared,” adding “Because of Rene’s planning, Celine is going through [this] peacefully and with control.”

Our thoughts go out to Celine and her family during this difficult time.
