Michelle Obama: First Lady Turns 52 — Happy Birthday
Happy Birthday,
Michelle Obama! The First Lady and fashion icon turned 52 on Jan. 17 and what a
year she’s had! Join us in celebrating her special day by taking a look
back at her most memorable moments from her 51st year!
It’s
Michelle Obama’s birthday! As she turns another year older, let’s remember all
that went down over the past 365 days. There isn’t a moment when Michelle
doesn’t look spectacular. No matter if she’s promoting a good cause, attending
an event, or escorting her husband, Michelle is bound to wow in both appearance
and spirit. In celebration of her big day, let’s take a look at some of her
best moments from the past year, shall we?
As part of
Michelle’s Let’s
Move! program,Cooking Light declared
Michelle the “First Lady of Food” and featured her on the cover of their
February issue. This was an important moment in Michelle’s year because she was
able to promote the issue of childhood obesity, a cause close to her
heart, to a wide audience in a very down-to-earth, personal way. Way to slay,
Michelle!

But
perhaps Michelle’s most hilarious moment of the year was when she laid it down
and showed us even First Ladies can rap! In her viral video with Saturday Night Live star Jay Pharoah, Michelle spit some rhymes
while promoting college education. How cool is that?!
But
not only did Michelle DO amazing things, she also LOOKED amazing doing them! In
Jan. 2016, the first lady wowed in a subdued orange dress while
attending her husband, President Barack
Obama’s, last State of the Union Address in Washington D.C. It
was a brilliant choice for such a monumental night, and Michelle rocked it in
every way!
And let’s not
forget the
epic gown she wore in
Sept. 2015 to the Chinese State Dinner held in Washington D.C. Her
curve-hugging, off-the-shoulder dress was perfection, and the rest of the world
agreed. Although Michelle looks fantastic in everything, we loved this classic
black dress for such a formal and worldly event.
Yes,
Michelle has proven time after time that she is a superstar of a First Lady. So
once again, happy birthday, Michelle! We hope this is your best year yet!
