Days after he was kicked out of top radio station CoolFM for unknown reasons, Daddy Freeze says he is back. The media personality confirmed this in a new Instagram post where he showed off – of course! – one of his expensive timepieces. “ Arriving @Coolfmlagos for my show this afternoon! Listen to the #RoadShow with @kaylahoniwo @djxclusive83 and I ,” he wrote, adding, “ It’s going to be awesome !” Only days ago, rumours made the rounds that Daddy Freeze was sacked for dissing comedian Basketmouth and his wife Elsie Okpocha, and not long after he denied that claim, a leaked memo showed he was kicked out for unstated reasons. Well, Freeze is back and he is rubbing that, shamelessly, in the face of haters and we just know it’s going to be an interesting week. OJPals, what do you think? The decision of a South African school to ‘compel’ black students to straighten their hair has been met with outrage from all quarters. Pretoria High School for girls has been accused of racism for its decision not to allow black female students the same kind of hair freedom their white counterparts are allowed. The rule which has been longstanding was protested over the weekend by students of the institution who had had enough of the discriminating prescriptions by the school detailing what their hair should look like, and implying that their hair is deemed untidy by the school’s standard, in its natural state. One of the students at Pretoria High called into the Breakfast Show on Power FM, confirming that this is indeed the case and punishments have been meted out to students who have failed to comply in the past. “We are being discriminated against because of our hair; they want us to relax our hair, they want our hair to look a certain way,”  she said. The clergyman who shepherds Jesus Miracle Ministries in Awka, the state’s capital, is presently on the run following the alleged assault on the minor. A native doctor is said to have prescribed sex with a male teen as the ‘cure’ for the pastor’s homosexuality, according to an anonymous  source . Actress Gabrielle Union and her superstar basketballer husband, Dwayne Wade, are currently in mourning. According to ABC, Wade’s cousin, Nykea Aldridge, was shot dead during a crossfire yesterday in Chicago’s Parkway Gardens neighbourhood. The 32-year-old mother of four was walking from the Dulles School of Excellence at about 3:30 p.m. when two armed men opened fire on another man in the vicinity. Sadly, Aldridge was shot in the head and arm during the crossfire. She was rushed to the Stroger Hospital where she was pronounced dead. Mourning her first cousin, Dwayne Wade who plays for the Chicago Bulls took to Twitter to condemn the violence in the city. “My cousin was killed today in Chicago. The officers of the Lagos State Police Command today announced that they arrested two rapists in army uniform. According to  Punch , the two men wore camouflage uniforms to rob and rape women in Oworonshoki and Bariga areas of Lagos State. Speaking with newsmen today, the Public Relations Officer, SP Dolapo Badmos, said the police sprang into action following complaints from victims, especially a 15-year-old girl. Narrating how the arrests were carried out, Badmos said:

Three people, including two children, have died after their throats were slit by glass-coated strings used for flying kites on India's Independence Day. Kite-flying is a popular sport in many parts of India Saanchi Goyal, 3, and Harry, 4, were looking out through the sunroof of their cars in different parts of Delhi when sharp strings slit their throats. Zafar Khan, 22, died in the same manner when he was riding his motorbike. Glass-coated strings are used to bring down competitors' kites, but they also end up injuring and killing people. Many Indians fly kites to celebrate festivals and important occasions like the Independence Day, which is celebrated on 15 August. But every year, there are reports of people dying or getting wounded from the kite strings - locally known as manja - treated with powdered glass or metal to sharpen them.

The Chairman of MFM Media Committee Worldwide, Oladele Bank-Olemoh has shut down claims that the eight Nigerians arrested by Cambodian authorities, for alleged drug trafficking, are members of MFM church. The eight Nigerian men were arraigned together with a Cambodian for allegedly using MFM premises to deal in illicit drugs. They may reportedly face life imprisonment if found guilty by the Phnom Penh Municipal Court. Speaking to  SUNDAY PUNCH , Bank-Olemoh said that linking Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries to the accused persons was an attempt to drag the name of the church through the mud. He also added that the allegations appeared to be a vendetta against the church. “You know the country is a Muslim country. The MFM church is the only African church in Cambodia that many black people attend,” he said. He also revealed that the church was searched and no drugs were found but admitted that the suspects were arrested outside the premises of the church.

An Ogun State housewife, Fatimoh Olanrewaju, has been arrested by the police for allegedly breaking the arms and legs of a 5-year-old boy, her stepson, Iyanu. According to  Punch , Fatimoh carried out the heinous act at their residence at Onihale village, along the old Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway. Iyanu’s mother and father reportedly got divorced two year ago and ever since, the toddler had been in the custody of his stepmother and father. Reporting about the condition the 5-year-old boy had been living in, Punch said Fatimoh had been physically abusing the child, until the recent incident where she broke his limbs. Confirming the story, the acting state Police Public Relations, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the toddler is currently on admission at the Federal Medical Centre in Idi Aba, Abeokuta, while Fatimoh is held in the custody of the Anti-Human Trafficking Department of the Command. Today, Linda Ikeji took to Instagram to share a touching story about how she started. “6 years ago, I shut down my office, packed my stuff and went home because I could no longer afford rent,” the popular blogger wrote on Instagram, adding, “Look at me now.” The photos she shared include an executive office, a studio complete with overhead suspended lights, and a tastefully furnished central office splashed generously with colours. A coalition led by Saudi Arabia has resumed airstrikes in Yemen resulting in the deaths of at least 10 children on Saturday while many others sustained serious injuries. According to  Bossip , the two people – a Miami-based fitness model, Hencha Voigt, and another man, Wesley Victor – hacked into Julz’ phone, got her explicit photos and the sex tape YesJulz recorded. The duo then threatened to release them to the public within 24hrs if she didn’t pay them $18,000 cash. The Miami Beach Police said that Voigt and Victor sent Julz some of the pictures and videos as proof. “ 18K cash … you can have them back as I said you dope chick. A 15-year-old boy identified as Ismaila Suleiman has been arrested by the Bauchi State Police Command for setting nine houses in different areas in the Bauchi metropolis on fire,  PUNCH  reports. The 15-year-old boy, with the help of his accomplices, reportedly stole some goods from the houses at the Fadam Mada, Kafin Galadima and Dass Park areas of Bauchi Metropolis after setting them on fire. The spokesperson for the Bauchi state Police command, Mahmood Mohammed, said in a statement on Friday, that the suspects had been arrested by detectives attached to the General Investigation Department of the command after a tip-off. Also arrested were two other men who were accused of buying the stolen goods from Suleiman. The Bauchi police revealed that Suleiman and his partners set the houses ablaze by soaking rags in petrol and throwing it into the windows of houses. Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited yesterday declared force majeure on export of Bonny Light, Nigeria’s high grade crude oil.  This comes just four days after the oil major declared a force majeure on gas supply to the Nigeria LNG’s export facility on Bonny Island due to a leak on the Eastern Gas Gathering System pipeline which Shell uses in supplying most of its gas to NLNG. Force majeure is a legal clause that allows an oil firm to stop shipments without breaching contracts. According to  Punch , Shell’s Media Relations Manager, Precious Okolobo, said the declaration was because of the shutdown of the Nembe Creek Trunk Line. Inaugurated in 2010, the 100km Nembe Creek Trunk Line which feeds the export terminal has a capacity of 600,000 bpd. With this declaration, about 600, 000 barrels per day of the Bonny Light crude oil and other productions in Nigeria have now been shut in. A Nigerian woman identified as Fausat Abolore, was today arraigned before a court in the United Kingdom for paying a man £1,000 to pose as her newborn baby’s father in order to avoid deportation. According to Daily Mail , Fausat and her accomplice Anthony Ezekpo were caught when she transferred £1,000 into Ezekpo’s account on the same day he tried to register the child’s birth certificate.  UK police also found out about her fraudulent act through online pictures of the real father Peter Gentry cradling his son at a naming ceremony on September 15, 2014. Faust Abolore reportedly hired Anthony Ezekpo so she could gain British citizenship, using his name on the baby’s birth certificate and claiming she lived with Ezekpo, providing the UK authorities with a fake address.
