New York-Based Designer Accuses Wema Bank of ‘Stealing’ Her Photos

Wema Bank has been called out, again, for using someone’s works without permission and this time, it’s a New York-based designer claiming that the bank stole the idea behind her project for their photo shoot.


Writing on her Twitter, Art Director, Leta Sobierajski, posted photos of two of her works which is very similar to the recent photos the Nigerian bank shared on their Twitter.
“What gives?” She asked on her tweet. “You copied my shoot pose for pose.”

‘Alat by Wema’ is a new digital banking platform launched by Wema Bank this March. According to Vanguard, “WEMA Bank Plc has launched its full digital banking service, named ‘ALAT’, which it says, signifies the beginning of a revolution in the banking industry.”

Now, Leta Sobierajski has accused them of stealing the ideas behind her photos. The tweet has stirred major outrage by fans of the art director, with many people urging her to slam the Nigerian bank with a lawsuit.

This new episode comes just days after same Wema Bank was dragged to a Lagos High Court by model, Nneoma Anosike, who said they used her photo without permission, thereby ruining her relationship with a New York modeling agency Fod Models.
Nneoma is demanding N97million compensation.

Now, the bank has been called out again, this time by a foreign art director and we wonder how this will all pan out.

‘Queen of SnapChat’ YesJulz Sex Tape Hits the Internet, and it’s Horrible

YesJulz’ sex tape has finally hit the internet. The tape which shows the acclaimed ‘Queen of Snapchat’ having sex with a male photographer was leaked by two people she recruited to work with her. According to  Bossip , the two people – a Miami-based fitness model, Hencha Voigt, and another man, Wesley Victor – hacked into Julz’ phone, got her explicit photos and the sex tape YesJulz recorded. The duo then threatened to release them to the public within 24hrs if she didn’t pay them $18,000 cash. The Miami Beach Police said that Voigt and Victor sent Julz some of the pictures and videos as proof. “ 18K cash … you can have them back as I said you dope chick. I like your movment look if I feel any fun business game over your choice,”  Victor said in his message to Julz last week, and then they gave her a 24-hour deadline.
