Ciara is still touring Lagos after thrilling Nigerians at the Love like a Movie 3 concert yesterday evening. Earlier today, the singer paid a visit to Ilado community junior school and The Akande Dahunsi Memorial high school group in Lagos where she was received with so much love from the excited students.                   The singer, who was accompanied by Dare Art Alade, went all traditional for the outing dressing up in a blue adire attire. Ciara was welcomed with a heart-warming rendition of  her song I Got You by one of the students. The singer then proceeded to motivate the kids by letting them know that they are indeed the future. She also told them to keep believing in their dreams and never allow anyone stop them from achieving those dreams. The quest for quick money has led to the death of a 16-year-old Senior Secondary School One [SSS1], student, Raimi Fatai, after he allegedly died following the administration of a liquid substance on him by three of his classmates during a money ritual process in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.                   It was gathered that the deceased and his mates had embarked on the money ritual route after one of them whose father is a native doctor, promised them that the substance would make them rich. The native doctor's son, according to the report, had told his colleagues that he has mastered that art from his father and could equally prepare a charm that would make them rich and therefore, gave them the substance which led to the death of Fatai while the rest are battling for their lives in a hospital. After taking the fatal substance, all four students reportedly took ill with Fatai giving up the ghost two days later while the other victims who were also on the verge of death

Ciara has arrived in Lagos for the third edition of Darey Art Alade’s Love Like A Movie show. The Grammy award-winning singer was spotted today at the Lagos international airport with her crew, but without her hot partner Russell Wilson.                         The debut edition of the love-themed affair held in 2013 was headlined by Kim Kardashian, while the second was graced by former Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland. The third edition was scheduled to hold during the first quarter of 2015, but due to the political tension at the time, the event was postponed from February to April, and then it was completely rescheduled due to logistics to February 2016. The Supreme Court has upheld the death sentence of the convicted General-Overseer of the Christian Praying Assembly, Chukwuemeka Ezeugo, a.k.a Rev. King.                            The seven-man panel of Justices led by Justice Walter Onnoghen upheld the death by hanging sentence passed on the clergyman by the Lagos State High Court. Delivering the verdict of the apex court, Justice Sylvester Ngwuta dismissed the appeal of Ezeugo stating that “the facts of the case could have been lifted from horror film.” He went further to state that “This appeal has no merit. The judgement of the court of appeal is hereby affirmed. The prison sentence that was earlier handed to the appellant is no longer relevant in view of the death sentence passed on him.” It will be recalled that the Anambra state-born reverend was convicted and sentenced to death by hanging on January 11, 2007 for the alleged murder of his church member, Ann Uzoh, and on the instance of Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecut

If Bill Cosby thought he'd be able to get rid of the criminal charges filed against him before going to trial, he was dead wrong. It seems the judge at the Montgomery County court, where his case is being tried, is intent on holding him accountable for his alleged sexual assault of Andrea Constand.                                Soon after the charges were filed, Cosby's attorneys tried hard to get them dismissed based on an alleged deal a former prosecutor made with Cosby back in 2005, stating that he would not face criminal charges if he agreed to a deposition in a civil suit brought on by Constand. The current judge ruled last week that no such agreement would be honored because the deal was never officially recognized by the court. Now, the judge presiding over the case is even requesting the higher courts that Cosby not be allowed to appeal the decision not to throw out the charges. We reported earlier that a small passenger plane carrying 21 people including two foreigners went missing in the Nepal Mountains; however, reports coming out of the country confirm that rescuers have found the wreckage of the plane with all 23 aboard dead.                                      The Twin Otter aircraft, operated by Tara Air, was travelling from Pokhara to Jomsom before losing contact with the control tower shortly after taking off. The plane was carrying three crew members and 20 passengers, one of them Chinese and one Kuwaiti, and aviation officials say two of those on board were children. According to Sanjiv Gautam, director general of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, the plane’s wreckage was found near the village of Dana in Myagdi district. After reaching out to Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg for $1 billion to "fund Kanye West ideas" without response, a Nigerian bank tweeted at the rapper, asking him to get in contact.                    Access Bank PLC tweeted, "@kanyewest, get in touch. A few days ago, Nigerians took to Twitter to lament the ridiculous exchange rate, accusing the President of taking frequent trips abroad while the economy was suffering. “Naira is falling, Baba is travelling,” they tweeted. Now, it is being reported that women in Kaduna state are storming the gold sellers section of the Kaduna Central Market to sell off their jewellery as the price of gold per gram rises to N10,500 as against its former price of N8,000. According to Daily Trust, the inundation of women selling off their gold in the past few days has caused a shortage of money for the gold traders. One of the traders, Rabiu Ismaila Funtuwa stated that the old price for selling was N8,200 while buying was N9,000. According to reports reaching OJ's Blog the Ooni of Ife Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi’s marital status has taken an unexpected turn.              Reports are that the marriage between the Ooni and Adebukunola Ogunwusi crashed a while ago, thus she never resumed her position as Olori when Ogunwusi was crowned last year. She reportedly only made an appearance at the Ooni’s coronation and left Ile-Ife as soon as the ceremony was over. The iPhone 7 is expected to be thinner than the iPhone 6s, with Apple using the elimination of the headphone jack and advances in in-cell panel technology  to make the iPhone 7 slimmer, perhaps as thin as the iPod touch. Rumors suggest the iPhone 7 will be between 6.0mm and 6.5mm. Apple’s current iPod touch measures in at 6.1mm, compared to 6.9mm for the iPhone 6 and 7.1mm for the iPhone 6 Plus.                        The new body, with a thinner design and no headphone jack, may be able to withstand both dust and water, making it better able to hold up when exposed to the elements. If Apple does make the iPhone 7 more water resistant, it is not clear if the company would do so quietly or introduce the water resistance as a main selling feature. With the Lightning port being used for music playback, there will be no way to charge the iPhone 7 while headphones are plugged in, which has sparked some speculation about wireless charging. A Berlin man has become the first in Germany to give birth to a baby. He identifies as male, but has a female reproductive system. The baby boy was born on Feb 18th this year in a home birth, as hospitals are required to write the name of the mother in their records when a child is born.                        It was delivered with the help of a midwife in the Neukölln area of Berlin. On government records the new father, who is transgender, is registered as a man. This makes him the first male in Germany to give birth, Berlin newspapers reported on Monday. He reportedly became pregnant through a sperm donation. Officially the child does not have a mother, only a father. The case is reminiscent of transgender Thomas Beatie who has given birth to three children in the US. Transgender people are able to give birth to children because even when a woman undergoes hormone therapy to become more physically masculine, they can retain female organs. A pregnant woman, Ijeoma Akaegbu yesterday died on board an Arik Air flight from Port Harcourt to Lagos. The 39-year-old who was travelling with relatives is reported to have developed complications during flight but was confirmed dead when the plane arrived Lagos. In their statement, Arik Air’s Public Relations and Communications Manager, Adebanji Ola, said: “A female passenger on board Arik Air’s Port Harcourt-Lagos flight was confirmed dead by medical personnel on arrival this morning at the Murtala Muhammed Airport Domestic Terminal One, Lagos.  The lady boarded the flight from Port Harcourt in company of her husband and cousin. The naira tumbled further significantly at the parallel market on Thursday, hitting 391 against the dollar as foreign exchange scarcity continues to batter the economy of Africa’s largest oil exporter. The currency has entered a free-fall mode against the dollar at the black market, having lost 26 per cent of its value in less than two weeks. The naira had exchange for one dollar at 372 on the streets of Lagos, Abuja and other major cities on Wednesday. The local currency, which closed at 310 against the greenback last Monday, has been falling consistently and significantly in the past 11 days. Forex dealers and financial experts linked the persistent fall of the naira to panic buying of the dollar and other major hard currencies by importers, individuals and businessmen. Relatives said that the fishermen found the body of Samuel Oki, 35,  floating in Otuoke river, two days after the kidnapping.                 The state’s police spokesman, Asini Butswat, was aware of the report, but could not immediately confirm its details. He said he was working to receive updates from the divisional police officer in charge of the area. Truworths, a South African retail company, has pulled out of Nigerian due to prevailing economic realities in the country.  According to Reuters, Michael Mark, the company’s chief executive officer’s comments about the economy show a sign that President Muhammadu Buhari’s attempts to boost local industry are hurting foreign investment. “We were unable to operate the stores properly any longer because we were unable to send merchandise to the stores because there’s regulation preventing that,” Mark told Reuters.  As well as being unable to fill its shelves, the clothing retailer said it was struggling to pay its rent and get access to foreign exchange which has dried up due to a collapse in oil prices. Jennifer Hudson experienced unspeakable tragedy in 2008 when her mother, brother and 7-year-old nephew were killed at the hands of her sister's estranged husband William Balfour. Hudson's brother-in-law was convicted on three counts of first degree murder in 2012 and sentenced to life in prison. Now, however, Balfour claims he's completely innocent of the murders and has no idea who killed his family.                  “I didn't have nothing to do with her family being killed. Period,” Hudson’s former brother-in-law William Balfour told ABC 7 in his first interview since the 2008 murders. “I didn't have nothing to do with the case and don't know who had anything to do with the case.” Balfour goes on to claim that his arrest and conviction is part of a larger conspiracy by Chicago police.
